The crew at Aerie have been airbrush free for a while and the decision for any lingerie brand in particular to put down the photoshop is always seen as a brave one. But while Aerie use models in their unretouched campaigns, British lingerie retailer, Mymilla, that sell some of our favourite brands, that cater to plus size women such as Elomi, Curvy Kate, Freya and Charnos, has gone ONE STEP FURTHER and ditched the traditional model agencies all together and opted for some of our favourite bloggers such as Rosie, Lottie and Hayley (to name a few). And Ms Curvaceous runner up @tinaresse & @denzdd
Mymilla.uk is a London based online lingerie store that sells D+ lingerie. What makes their platform different from other lingerie stores is that they do it in a body positive way so they feature models of different sizes and they don’t air-brush any of their images on the website. After all ALL women of ALL shapes and sizes wear lingerie and it is pretty useful to know what it will actually look like on and how refreshing is it to see some stretch marks and cellulite, all the stuff most media and brands pretend women don’t have.
At the weekend Mymilla teamed up with a host of bloggers and got them to pose in some gorgeous new lingerie sets and luckily because there is ZERO RETOUCHING, the picture turn around is instant – we reckon they spent most of their time just trying to pick their favourites!
We think these women look gorgeous!
