We know you’re all fed up of hearing about gym routines starting in January, but for those who are kicking off a new regime or for those just continuing on their fitness vibe, here are some of our favourite plus size workout clothes.
We were so excited when PUMA launched a plus size collection via ASOS Curve last year. But most of all we love that if you look at the straight size Puma pieces and the range when you select curve they are identical! Essentially this is extended sizes, so for once you can star jump in the gym in the same kit as your pals! This particular look is very much on trend, mesh and cut out detail is huge right now for athleisure. We also love the PUMA branding on the waist band. There are loads of options so click through to check them out.
Nike were another sports brand who opted into the plus size market in 2017 and their workout range goes from a size 22 to a 32 which you have to agree is PHENOMENAL! It has taken years for brands to realise that women across the board need good sportswear pieces and that plus size women work out too but also need the opportunity to work out and feel good whilst doing so, these leggings have had rave reviews from some of your favourite plus size bloggers too. While we are on the subject of big name sports wear brands doing curve, let us not forget Reebok, stocking up to a size 26 on curve retailer, Simple Be. The line has actually been available for a really long time and Simply Be are particularly good at getting well known names to add larger sizes to their line.
We like these chic branded leggings, a real athleisure classic look.
Looking for specialist plus size athleisure? Then you need to check out designer plus size hub, navabi. Packed with loads of great curve pieces they also have a specialist workout tab.
They host a lot of European brands that you might not know, but Zhenzi have some chic, printed pieces that will ensure you look great whilst working out. They do a mix of leggings, vests and sports jackets for all different kinds of activities. Sizes 14-30!
It was Renee Cafaro who reminded me that when you’re working out and the tough gets going, always remember you’re lapping everyone who isn’t. We love the visible reminder that will help you get through those workouts. So as you’re dancing around in zumba, punching it out at boxing, or lifting those weights remember you are killing it! Do not get intimidated by the gym if that is where you want to be!
