Plus Size Ascot Style & DISCOUNT CODE

And we’re off to the races!!! Yes, it’s that time of year when everyone dons their sartorial best and tries to channel their best Duchess of Cambridge impression. We all know that Royal Ascot is all about the hats, but what about the plus size VIP who needs a perfect look that fits within the strict guidelines? We decided to turn to than UK’s plus size luxury hub, Navabi, that carries brands that are a cut above the rest. Please note that the hats pictured here are not available on Navabi, but really just some inspiration. When picking your headwear, remember that small fascinators are not allowed in most enclosures. Royal and Queen Anne Enclosures require traditional hats or headpieces with a solid base over 4 inches (10 cm).

Dresses are all to have straps over 1 inch or greater and must be modest in length (knee or longer). There are lots of other requirements like no strapless dresses, but my rule of thumb is, just aim for a classic shift dress or a fit and flare with some sort of sleeve. If you must wear a strapless bra in order to wear it, it may not be appropriate.

Embroidered Manon Baptiste Dress £194.99

Embroidered fabric is one of this summer’s top trends and while most have offered a cream base, we love this trans-seasonal piece from navabi. The black base means that this will work in between seasons, layered with knitwear, tights and boots in colder months. This is a plus size invest piece to be reckoned with.

Long sleeve Manon Baptiste Dress £162.99

This is the silhouette to be seen in this season and we are so excited that there is a plus size version to be had. The dress shape is inspired by designers Roksanda Ilincic and is the sell out style of SS17, so don’t delay, get yours today.

Striped Studio 8 Dress £168.99

Studio 8 is a great option for plus size occasionwear. This monochrome look is incredibly chic and perfect for summer weddings and Ascot alike. The a-line skirt is pretty and flirty, team with a gorgeous patent heel.

Suits and Jumpsuits

Trouser suits are welcome and for the first time ever jumpsuits will be allowed this year. They should be of full length and of matching material and color. Jumpsuits should also follow the top guidelines of dresses so no shoulder-baring, strapless or sheer straps. Jacket £194.99  matching Trousers £97.99

Floral Jumpsuit £175.99

Media was abuzz when it was revealed that jumpsuits were to be allowed at Ascot this season. The humble jumpsuit has grown in popularity amongst plus size clothing brands especially as it works for those who want a complete look but aren’t comfortable in a dress.

This tropical print is perfect for embracing summer too.

Grey Jumpsuit £235

Also, if you plan on wearing a jacket or wrap, please keep in mind that whatever is underneath it must follow the guidelines as well. For more information, check the style guide and have fun! #royalenclosure
