Beth Ditto : Season 2 (and it is awesome) *spoiler*

look_10_018-edit_2048x2048Beth Ditto has launched her second collection and it is awesome!

The vibe for collection two is still fun and playful but overall the second offering in Beth Ditto’s collection, that caters for plus size women is definitely a step up and has a sophisticated edge. With bow blouses and high waisted skirts and trousers – finished with a bow tied waist (super cute but still chic and sassy), the second collection, for A/W16 is perfect for layering.

The print of the season is based around eyelashes and we are totally obsessed with this WINKING eyelash sweater, that is also available in tee-shirt. (But the sweater has sparkles so it is amazing!) In fact the knitwear has a bit of a Markus Lupfer vibe that we are loving – especially because it means we can now get plus size knitwear that is fun too!

Other prints in the collection include this amazing ‘nail polish drop‘ print that features on square cut tops and this gorgeous day to evening dress with a circular centre appliqué – showing that Ditto is carrying over her signature draped style from her first successful season.

look_1_b_017-edit_1024x1024In fact we are loving this new season even more than season two, because we feel we can see where Beth is going and continuing to grow in this season and beyond. (how cute is this long shirt! – so versatile – wear as is, with tights, over leather leggings, tucked in, with a pinafore – many many ways).

As a plus size woman, Beth knows and understands what is missing from the market and as one of the few design houses offering plus size women a more designer led choice we hope that shoppers continue to support her growth because this middle market sector is where plus size is still lacking but the likes of Beth Ditto are beginning to fill the gap quite nicely indeed.

Congrats Beth!
