The Curvy Con was a huge draw for plus size women in NYC this weekend & the two day event, which is in its second year was a huge success! The event organised by bloggers CeCe Olisa and Chastity of Garner Style attracted women from all over the USA. With panels of experts including Emmy winner Sherri Shepherd, blogger extraordinaire’s Gabi Fresh and Nadia Aboulhosn to name a few, this was the plus size event of the summer. The full weekend report by Renee is coming in soon but until then we want to shout about JC Penney’s NEW viral campaign (who also powered this years event).
The campaign called Here I Am #hereiam, coincides with their latest launch of Boutique+ – which will be in stores soon – a plus size range in conjunction with Ashley Nell Tipton, winner of this years Project Runway.
The inspiring video documents the journey to self love of some of our favourite plus size women including, Gabi Fresh, Mary Lambert, Ashley Nell Tipton, Valerie Sagun & Jes Baker – all of who are there to remind you that no matter your size you can achieve your goals and you DESERVE it too.
