Festival Fashion Fever : The SLiNK top 5

One of life’s big questions… What to wear to a festival?

Well, plus size fashion has had a festival make over this season. With festival season just around the corner, even if you aren’t planning on rolling around in a field this summer the key is essentially to pretend that you might be… so we have rounded up some of our favourite five festival fashion, from plus size dresses to fringed tops and some cute accessories, whether you’re more Glasto or Groucho it doesn’t matter everyone is embracing festival style this season.

So you basically can’t go to a festival without killing a bit of boho babe vibes and this open neckline and hippy print ticks all the boxes. It is super cute and will look great with ankle boots for sunny days and then long socks and wellies for when the weather turns to a torrential downpour. Load up on the boho jewels and add some aviators and a cross the body bag for the style win.

So dungarees are basically the most comfortable thing ever and we love them. They are clearly a disaster for popping to the loo, but in festival season, on trend and stylish (which dungarees are right now) teamed with the sort of comfort gift that only pyjamas usually bring, it is basically everything right now. Now these are made of sweatpants fabric (we know, we cried a bit too) so they are essentially a tracksuit for the most stylish – pure bliss. We will be rocking ours at festivals for staying warm and comfy whilst dancing in the rain. Plus Size Dungarees ASOS £35

Festivals are made for frivolous and fun dressing, so it is time to rock out the tassels, layer up the neon and clash those prints. There are very few other places you can get away with dressing like you were at Woodstock, or living life on a desert island so take the opportunity where you can. We are slightly obsessed with this crochet top with dip dye and tassels. Here, more is actually more. Simply Be £18

If there are no denim shorts in your rucksack, or on your bum you are so not festival ready. Denim shorts are the staple of festival fashion season. Worn by all attending celebrities, denim shorts and denim hot pants are the staple of all festival wardrobes. While we believe you will still be admitted without them, they do go with all the other frivolity you have packed and help to seal the look of tasselled and sequin pieces and giving the ‘I’m not over dressed, I’m at a festival vibe.’

And thankfully New Look Curve have a plus size pair too, so no fear, you can get your pins out too! New Look Curve £19.99

Essentials only! You don’t want to be lugging around tones of stuff all day, so keep your bag small and your hands free. If you aren’t ready to rock a bumbag then go for a small across the body bag that will stop you lugging round everything but the kitchen sink. You need your phone, your lip balm and maybe some sun tan lotion and your money. Aside from that, keep it light and fun. You don’t want to be carrying everything then feeling miserable and achey. We love this cute hippy style bag from Boohoo at £6 you can’t really go too wrong can you.
