Whilst we all moan that fashion week is wildly underserving plus size women (this much is true), over in Madrid, mega department store El Corte Ingles is quietly slaying it on the plus size fashion front.
For Madrid fashion week (which is happening right now) the department store laid on a series of full runway shows featuring plus size models and 3 major plus size brands.
The show was packed full of some of our fav pro plus models including SLiNKettes Louise O’Reilly, Melissa Koole and Ali Tate!
Here we take a look at Persona by Marina Rinaldi @ El Corte Ingles
We absolutely love the relaunched Persona line. Italian quality, great cuts, beautiful fabrics and show stopping style this is the younger, flirtier sister of the Rinaldi label.
Persona kept us in the Sixties and Seventies with tunes from the likes of Iggy Pop and styling that showed off floppy hats, cute satchels and ankle swinging trousers.
The palette of sepia tones and tobacco hues was accented with a striking aqua that was both bold and soft at the same time. We loved the layering of sheer, pussy bowed blouses with oversized knitwear.
Print and texture was key to this collection. We loved the early brocade pieces and the geometric prints that made for easy separates later on in the show. Checks played a key role in knit and outerwear too ensuring that this cohesive collection was easy to deconstruct and work into your existing wardrobe.
