Aerie, an American Eagle Outfitters brand has become known for using unretouched images for their campaign shots, reminding their customers that you don’t need a fancy filter or a magic wand tool to look cute in your bathing suit this summer.
With a host of different body shapes, Aerie ensures that the initiative, which started two years ago doesn’t just present one body shape to the consumer either and it is great to see some curves being flaunted and celebrated in the brands fun swimwear line this season.
The newest face and curves of the brand is none other than upcoming plus model star, Barbie Ferreira who looks absolutely stunning in the new campaign shots and accompanying video.
Seeing unretouched images amongst all the digitised shots released into the world is an important reminder to women everywhere that most fashion shots airbrushed fantasy, not a reality and we can’t and shouldn’t be expected but others or ourselves to be like that.
