Fashion month for those in the industry is pretty much a blur. Between the caffeine fixes and the afternoon champagne (ok sometimes it is first thing – don’t judge darling, it’s fashion) and the late night parties, somehow we manage to fit in a host of new trends too. Following on from New York, a week of fashion that highlighted that diversity in fashion and during the shows is actually very possible & plausible – not an intangible dream. Cue – Addition Elle & Ashley Graham with her curve army, the Plus is Equal protest by Lane Bryant, Chromat using Sabina and Denise Bidot (again) and Hayley Hasselhoff walking for Eder & Berk – and that’s just name checking the ones we could keep on – Oh and of course Marc Jacobs just slyly slipping Beth Ditto in there too to close what New York can truly say is the most diverse season yet. London on the other hand – although we did have a great UKPSFW and have the equally awesome The Curve Fashion Festival next week has seen London remain true to its size 6 self and ignore the wave of modernity from New York. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy or take anything away (besides a hangover) from LFW. In its new home, in the heart of SOHO, in the good old NCP car park (yes, I said it) London returned to its grunge roots but while the venue seemed down graded the fashion certainly wasn’t so sit back and enjoy as we bring you our favourite shows from London Fashion Week and the trends to look out for for SS16.
