The A-Z Guide – K-N

The plus size A-Z fashion guide continues with K-N

K is for… KANE – Jessica Kane Jessica is the founder of Skorch, champion of plus size women, board member of UKPSFW and now the Creative Director of hot blogger curated collections web- site, Cool Gal Blue. Having been appointed at the start of 2015 by Michelle Crawford, Jessica Kane is combining her plus size knowledge of the industry and of course her network to help drive Cool Gal Blue forward. The site which sells plus size womenswear collections, selected, styled and modelled by some of your favourite bloggers is set to be a huge hit in 2015 and present that missing link between style bloggers and retail. The fact that the collections are both chosen and then styled and modelled by bloggers is just another reason why this new retail method is set to be a sure fire hit. Kane who has been a plus size fashion pioneer for a number of years is finally getting to bring all hLer expertise together under one role. L is for… Liris Crosse Born in Baltimore, Liris is not new to the modelling game, but she is definitely hav- ing a moment right now. No stranger to the catwalk, Liris has walked at Full Figure Fashion Week and British Plus Size Fashion Weekend and has fronted editorials for the likes of Glamour Magazine, Seventeen and Plus Model Magazine. Liris is a favourite with some of the top plus brands including Ashley Stewart and Lane Bryant.

Not content at just being a top plus size model, Liris has also undertaken Host and Acting roles, diversifying her portfolio and cementing her as a name to watch within the fashion and entertainment industry. Her cat-like eyes and full lips, along with her amazing, curvaceous figure certainly sets Liris out from the pack. Liris is not one to sit back and relax though, passing on her knowledge to wannabe plus models, tMhrough her #lifeofaworkingmodel bootcamps to share her experiences, teach runway walking and give an insight into the exciting world of plus size fashion.

N is for… Courtney NOELLE The line formerly known as Rum + Coke has had a phenomenal year, storming news channels and tv shows with their stunning designs and fashion forward looks for plus size women. This design evolution in the plus market has led the brand to have a bit of a revamp and Rum + Coke is now under lead designers name, Courtney Noelle. This new S/S’15 collection is aptly named ‘Wonderland’ and the collection

really does transport you to a place most magical indeed. This is not one for wallflowers and the range consists of beautiful, golden, yellow hues, pastel blue, bold coral, vibrant bloom prints and amazing irridescent fabrics. This is definitely a collection that is fashion first and the shots in the new look book are fun, flirtatious and true to form to a brand that is definitely part of what we call the ‘game changers’. With body con designs, sheer pleated fabric, perfect peplums, plunging necklines and cute crop tops this collection is ticking a lot of boxes for us over here at SLiNK HQ and we can’t wait to add some to our wardrobe this summer. We love the emergence of independent designers in plus size and Courtney Noelle is definitely one of those leading the pack. http://www.shopcourtneynoelle.com | t: @deathtothemumu
